Fuel Prices Hit Record High in Israel
The price of a liter of 95-octane gasoline in Israel will reach an all-time high of 8.25 shekels starting at midnight on Tuesday. This price matches the previous record set exactly 14 years ago. The new price represents an increase of 16 agorot compared to the August price of 8.09 shekels.
Additionally, the surcharge for full-service fueling will rise by one agora to 26 agorot per liter, including VAT. These price hikes are attributed to a 6% increase in global gasoline prices and an adjustment to the fuel excise tax component by the Tax Authority.
