Benny Gantz Signals Openness to Political Alliances Except with Moshe Feiglin

Benny Gantz, chairman of the Blue and White party, is accelerating political negotiations ahead of upcoming elections. In an interview with Walla, Gantz confirmed recent talks, including a lengthy meeting with former ambassador and minister Gilad Erdan, exploring potential political cooperation. He described the discussions as serious and ongoing, with no agreements yet, emphasizing a call for unity among Israeli factions.

Gantz also mentioned other political figures such as retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, noting Winter leans more right-wing but is surrounded by capable people. Addressing the broader political landscape, Gantz acknowledged the challenges of forming coalitions, especially as Winter’s bloc struggles to pass the electoral threshold, which could weaken the right-wing camp.

While Gantz expressed openness to alliances that promote unity, he drew a clear red line regarding Moshe Feiglin, stating that cooperation with him is unrealistic. This stance highlights Gantz’s strategic approach to coalition-building, balancing inclusivity with firm boundaries.
