The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued a severe warning against using a hair straightening product named "Revival Miracle" following the hospitalization of a woman at Rambam Health Care Campus. The product, reportedly manufactured by P.R. Colordesign, is being marketed without a license and contains glyoxylic acid, a substance prohibited in hair straightening products in Israel due to potential health risks.

Health Ministry officials investigated the incident after the woman was admitted to the hospital after undergoing a hair straightening treatment with the product. An initial investigation revealed that the product was being sold without the required legal notification or license. The presence of glyoxylic acid, which is banned for use in such products in Israel, was confirmed through an examination of the product's label.

In response, a Ministry representative collected a sample of the product from the salon where the treatment was performed for laboratory testing. The Ministry has also contacted P.R. Colordesign, the company listed on the label, but has not yet received a response. The Ministry is treating the case with utmost seriousness and urges the public and salon owners to immediately cease the use, marketing, and sale of "Revival Miracle."

Health officials advise consumers to verify that any cosmetic product is registered in the official cosmetics database and approved for its intended use. They also stressed that anyone experiencing unusual symptoms after a hair straightening treatment, such as decreased urination, swelling, nausea, vomiting, abdominal or back pain, or extreme fatigue, should seek immediate medical attention and provide details about the product used.
