Israel's Ministry of Health has issued a public warning against using a hair straightening product named Revival Miracle, following a report of a woman being hospitalized at Rambam Health Care Campus. The ministry is urging an immediate halt to the product's use, marketing, and sale, citing risks associated with unregulated hair straightening treatments containing prohibited ingredients.

An initial investigation by the Ministry of Health revealed that Revival Miracle is being sold without a license or proper notification. The product's label indicates it contains glyoxylic acid, an ingredient banned in hair straightening products in Israel. The product is reportedly manufactured by P.R. Colordesign.

Ministry officials visited the salon where the product was used and collected a sample for laboratory testing. The ministry has also contacted P.R. Colordesign, but has not yet received a response. The ministry is treating the incident seriously, emphasizing the potential public health risks of using illegal or improperly formulated hair products.

This incident follows a similar warning issued in July 2026 regarding another hair straightening product, LEGEND, after a woman was admitted to intensive care with severe kidney failure. In that case, the ministry also ordered an immediate cessation of the product's distribution and sale, and a complaint was filed with the police.

The Ministry of Health advises the public and salon owners to immediately stop using, purchasing, selling, or marketing Revival Miracle. Consumers are encouraged to verify that hair products are legally marketed and do not contain unverified or unsafe ingredients by checking the ministry's cosmetic database. The ministry also advises vigilance for unusual symptoms after hair straightening, such as decreased urination, swelling, nausea, vomiting, abdominal or back pain, and extreme fatigue, urging immediate medical attention and disclosure of product details if such symptoms appear. The ministry will provide further updates as laboratory results become available.
