ראש ממשלת ישראל, בנימין נתניהו, הגיב היום (שלישי) בחריפות לדברי ראש עיריית ניו יורק, אריק אדמס, שכינה אותו "פושע מלחמה" ו"אדריכל של רצח העם של הפלסטינים". נתניהו תקף את אדמס ואמר: "תתבייש לך על התמיכה במפלצת הטרור של חמאס, שטבחו בבני עמנו. תתבייש לך על ההסתה למהומות נגד יהודי ניו יורק". ראש הממשלה הוסיף כי בכוונתו להגיע לאו"ם ולדבר על "האמת על חיילינו הגיבורים", וכן "לחשוף את האמת" על אדמס עצמו.
