Netanyahu Slams NYC Mayor Adams Over Hamas Support Ahead of UN Speech
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded forcefully on Tuesday to remarks made by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who had labeled Netanyahu a "war criminal" and the "architect of genocide" ahead of the Israeli leader's expected arrival at the UN General Assembly. "Shame on you, Adams, shame for supporting the terrorist monsters of Hamas who slaughtered our people. Shame on you for supporting incitement to riots against Jews in New York," Netanyahu stated. He added, "I am coming to the UN, I am going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers, and I am going to tell the truth about you."
Netanyahu's strong words came after Adams gave an interview to CNN, where he reiterated his accusations against the Prime Minister and referenced arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court. During the CNN interview, Adams acknowledged that contrary to his campaign statements, he has no legal authority to actually arrest Netanyahu during his visit to New York.
