Netanyahu Slams NYC Mayor Adams Over Hamas Support Claims

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a sharp rebuke Tuesday to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, accusing him of supporting Hamas terrorists and inciting violence against New York's Jewish community. Netanyahu's strong statement comes just days before his scheduled appearance at the United Nations General Assembly.

"Shame on you, Mr. Adams. Shame on you for supporting the terrorist monsters of Hamas who massacred our people. Shame on you for inciting riots against the Jews of New York," Netanyahu declared. "I am coming to the UN. I am going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers, and I am going to tell the truth about you."

Adams, speaking to CNN, addressed his previous remarks about enforcing an international arrest warrant against Netanyahu, acknowledging that the city lacks the authority to execute such a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).

"Regarding Benjamin Netanyahu, I described him as I believe him to be: a war criminal and the architect of a terrible genocide of the Palestinian people," Adams stated. He also admitted he acted in good faith with the city's residents and conceded the city's lack of authority to enforce the ICC's warrant.

Adams' comments follow his July statement indicating he was working to secure an arrest warrant for the Prime Minister. In an interview on "The Interview," Adams confirmed he is still actively discussing the matter with the city's legal department to explore his authority to make such an arrest. He reiterated his belief that Netanyahu should face trial at the ICC as a "war criminal" against whom an indictment has been filed by the court.
