Netanyahu Slams NYC Mayor Adams Ahead of UN Speech

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched a sharp verbal attack against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, ahead of his visit to the United States and his address at the UN General Assembly. In a video statement released in English, Netanyahu stated, "Shame on you for supporting the terrorist monsters of Hamas who massacred our people. Shame on you for inciting riots against the Jews of New York."

Netanyahu further declared, "I am coming to the UN and I am going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers, and tell the truth about you." This confrontation arises from remarks made by Mayor Adams in a CNN interview following a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Adams had called for respect for the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Netanyahu, in anticipation of the Prime Minister's UN speech.

"If the court determines that someone is worthy of arrest for violating laws, no one should be above it and everyone should be held accountable," Adams had said. Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to depart for the United States this coming Wednesday for a very brief visit. He is expected to land on Thursday morning, deliver his speech at the UN General Assembly at 2:00 PM New York time, and then depart back to Israel the same evening.

The prime minister's aircraft, "Wing of Zion," is expected to land at a military airport in New Jersey or Newark Liberty International Airport, rather than JFK. This decision is reportedly due to coordination difficulties with U.S. authorities and concerns over Mayor Adams' potential actions.
