באשדוד נערך מעמד הכנסת ספר תורה לבית המדרש "אהבת ישראל", בניהולו של ר' פיני לוי. ספר התורה נכתב לעילוי נשמתו של איש החסד ר' אברהם לייביש לוי, שנפטר בטרם עת, ונתרם על ידי בני משפחתו וחברי הקהילה. האירוע התקיים במעמד רבנים ואדמו"רים, וכן קהל רב שהגיע להשתתף בשמחה.
