Ashdod Community Consecrates Torah Scroll in Memory of Beloved Figure
A deeply moving ceremony took place in Ashdod as a Torah scroll was dedicated and brought into the "Ahvat Yisrael" study hall, managed by community activist Pinny Levi. The Torah scroll was written in memory of Rabbi Avraham Leibish Levi, known affectionately as "the man with the smile," who passed away prematurely. The scroll was donated by his family and friends within the community.
The dedication ceremony was attended by numerous Hasidic rebbes and rabbis, as well as a large crowd of community members who came to share in the joy of the Torah dedication. Rabbi Levi was remembered as a man of kindness and a warm smile, whose passing left a void in the community.
