Prominent Rabbis Complete Torah Scroll in Special Ceremony
A Torah scroll was completed on Wednesday evening at the home of Menachem Gashid, attended by prominent rabbis and Hasidic leaders. The event marked the writing of the final letters in the scroll, which was donated in memory of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lowenberger, former head of the rabbinical court in Polgar, Hungary, and his wife, Miriam Yuta. The scroll was dedicated to their souls' elevation.
The ceremony was led by Rabbi Gavad Makova, who is a student of Gashid. The gathering included various Hasidic rebbes and other distinguished rabbis, underscoring the communal significance of the event within the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community.
