The story · English

A festive Sefer Torah dedication was held at the study hall of the Sanz-Visnitz Hasidic court in Beit Shemesh, attended by the Sanz-Visnitz Rebbe, who traveled from Haifa, and hundreds of Hasidim.

The Torah scroll was donated by the Rotner family in memory of Rabbi Shmuel Moshe Rotner, one of the prominent Torah teachers in the Sanz-Visnitz community, who died in 5784, and in memory of his wife, Chaya Gittel. The event was described as a celebration for the court and a tribute to the family’s donation.

The ceremony included the traditional הכנסת ספר תורה procession and gathering inside the Beit Midrash. Photographer A. Aisenbach documented the event in a gallery released with the article.
