Belz community dedicates Torah scroll in memory of young student Menachem Mendel Elboim
A large and festive Torah scroll dedication ceremony was held in the Belz Hasidic community, bringing the scroll into the main study hall in Kiryat Belz, Jerusalem. The event was led by the Belz Rebbe and attended by crowds of Hasidim.
The scroll was donated by the Elboim family in memory of Menachem Mendel Elboim, described as one of the outstanding students in the Belz youth yeshiva in Jerusalem. He died unexpectedly after a short illness.
A celebratory seudat mitzvah was held alongside a special and emotional tribute to Torah learning. At that event, participants marked the completion of multiple tractates studied by the students and friends of the youth yeshiva in his memory.
