National Guard Arrests 28 Illegal Immigrants Ahead of Rosh Hashanah
The National Guard, part of the Border Police (Magav), has intensified operations to locate and apprehend illegal immigrants across Israel as part of preparations for the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday. Over the past week, 28 individuals without legal status were arrested in a broad sweep conducted by the Northern and Central divisions.
The operation involved extensive searches, mobile patrols, checkpoints, and targeted raids on businesses and locations suspected of harboring illegal workers. The Northern division alone apprehended 22 individuals in the cities of Sakhnin and Tamra. Some were found in commercial establishments, while others were apprehended during nighttime operations as they attempted to flee.
