Six Draft Dodgers Apprehended at Ben Gurion Airport Before Rosh Hashanah
Security teams at Ben Gurion Airport apprehended six individuals attempting to leave Israel illegally on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. The men, all of whom are subject to mandatory military conscription, were stopped simultaneously in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of the airport. Two were detained at Terminal 1, while the other four were intercepted at Terminal 3.
Following their arrest by airport security, the six individuals were transferred to the Population and Immigration Authority for further processing and investigation. It was confirmed during the investigation that active conscription orders were in place against them, legally prohibiting their departure from the country. The cases have since been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
