IDF Conducts Large-Scale Drills in West Bank Ahead of Rosh Hashanah
The Israel Defense Forces' Judea and Samaria Division conducted extensive drills over the past week, culminating in a surprise readiness exercise on Friday morning just before the Jewish New Year holiday. The drills involved dozens of exercises, including joint training between two brigades near the "green line" and brigade-level exercises across all territorial brigades. Concurrently, routine counter-terrorism operations led to the arrest of over 220 individuals wanted for terror-related activities.
During the surprise exercise, all battalions within the division were put on high alert. Major General Avi Bluth, commander of the Central Command, personally inspected several battalions to assess their combat readiness and operational preparedness. The division also conducted a special situation assessment to evaluate the command's readiness for war and its operational plans for various potential scenarios.
