IDF Launches Surprise Drill in West Bank Ahead of Holidays
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the commencement of a surprise military exercise within the Judea and Samaria Division on Tuesday, just ahead of the upcoming holiday period. The drill involves the rapid deployment of all battalions in the division to enhance readiness and operational capabilities.
The exercise is scheduled to conclude by the afternoon and is expected to result in increased military vehicle and personnel movement throughout the region. Its primary objectives are to assess the forces' alert status and operational fitness, and to practice responding to various surprise scenarios as part of the ongoing operational preparations for the holidays.
This drill is part of a series of exercises conducted in recent weeks to bolster operational readiness in the sector. These exercises have encompassed a range of operational scenarios, including practicing and refining cooperation with other security and rescue forces in the area.
The IDF emphasized that this is a planned exercise and there is no concern of a security incident.
