לוחמי מילואים בגדוד 8553 המוצבים בבסיס בגוש עציון מתמודדים בימים האחרונים עם מכת דבורים וצרעות חמורה. מספר חיילים כבר נעקצו, והחרקים החלו לחדור למבני המגורים, מה שמאלץ את הלוחמים להסתגר בתוכם.

חיילת בבסיס סיפרה ל-N12 כי המצב מורכב במיוחד עבור חיילים אלרגיים, שכן מזרק אפיפן יחיד אינו נגיש להם. למרות פניות חוזרות ונשנות לגורמים הפיקודיים, הבעיה טרם נפתרה.
