Maccabi Tel Aviv is closely following the situation of striker Guy Melamed at Maccabi Haifa and is considering signing him if a deal becomes feasible. Melamed, who was the top scorer last season, currently holds a low position in Haifa's attacking hierarchy behind Andrej Novakovic and Silva Cani, and has even been benched in favor of younger players like Adam Greenberg in some Toto Cup matches. He missed the season opener due to a muscle sensitivity but has recently returned to training.
