Maccabi Haifa is preparing for their upcoming match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday following a victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan in the season opener. Guy Melamed, the team's top scorer last season despite limited playtime, has fully recovered from injury and is expected to be included in the squad for the upcoming game.
However, there is uncertainty about the starting striker position. Andrea Novakovic is anticipated to become Haifa's leading forward this season and is likely to receive significant playing time, possibly starting ahead of Silva Kani. Novakovic currently holds an advantage over Melamed due to his off-the-ball contributions, even though Melamed is recognized as the better scorer.
