Ra'am Leader Mansour Abbas Acknowledges Israel's Jewish Identity as Electoral Reality

Ra'am party chairman MK Mansour Abbas addressed Israel's Jewish identity in remarks shared by political commentator Amit Segal on Wednesday. Abbas stated that the Jewish character of the state is an imposed reality on the Arab public, not a choice made by them. He emphasized that this identity reflects the majority Jewish population's decision rather than a demand from the Arab community.

Abbas explained that Arab parties have had to accept Israel's Jewish definition pragmatically, partly to avoid disqualification from running in Knesset and local elections.
