Wolt Delivery Driver Arrested for Stabbing Bus Driver in Ramat Gan After Road Dispute

A 33-year-old Wolt delivery driver from Bnei Brak was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a bus driver in Ramat Gan last week following a road dispute. The bus driver sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment. The suspect fled the scene initially but was tracked down and detained by police yesterday. During a search of his belongings, police confiscated knives and scissors. The suspect is scheduled for a remand hearing today at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court.

This incident follows a recent attack on a Jerusalem bus driver, Moatasem Kak, who was assaulted at a traffic light in Ramat Eshkol, resulting in four broken teeth. Kak described the attack, stating a group wearing kippahs damaged his bus mirror and then struck him in the face with a metal or wooden object.

Additionally, there have been other violent incidents involving bus drivers in the area, including a fatal shooting of a 36-year-old bus driver in Holon and multiple attacks involving pepper spray in Jerusalem. These events highlight a troubling pattern of violence against public transportation workers in Israel.
