Israel Faces Rising Temperatures and Increased Heat Stress This Week

Following the dispersal of morning clouds, Israel will experience clear skies today with a slight rise in temperatures, which will remain above seasonal averages, particularly in the mountainous regions and inland areas. This will lead to an increased heat burden across the country. On Thursday, August 27, the weather will be clear after morning clouds dissipate, with temperatures continuing to exceed typical seasonal levels. On Friday, August 28, skies will again clear after morning clouds, but temperatures will drop slightly, though still remain somewhat above normal, easing the heat stress somewhat. Saturday, August 29, will be partly cloudy to clear, with a slight temperature increase mainly in the mountains and inland. There is a possibility of light, localized rain primarily in northern Israel. Rain is also expected in the north and center on Sunday, September 1.
