Israel Faces Extreme Heat Across Most Regions with No Significant Temperature Change
Israel is expected to experience continued extreme heat today, with temperatures remaining significantly above seasonal averages. Heavy to extreme heat stress is forecast across much of the country, particularly in the mountainous areas, inland regions, the Dead Sea, and the Arava Valley. Along the coastal plain, heavy heat stress will also prevail, accompanied by choppy Mediterranean Sea conditions with wave heights ranging from 40 to 70 centimeters.
Temperature forecasts for major cities and regions include Jerusalem at 23 to 33 degrees Celsius, Tel Aviv 25 to 32, Haifa 24 to 31, Safed 23 to 34, Katzrin 22 to 38, Tiberias 24 to 38, Nazareth 23 to 36, Afula 23 to 37, Beit She'an 26 to 41, Lod 24 to 33, Ashdod 24 to 32, Ein Gedi 30 to 40, Beersheba 23 to 36, Mitzpe Ramon 24 to 36, and Eilat 31 to 43 degrees Celsius.
