Helium Balloon Causes Cable Explosion at Ben Gurion Airport Train Station

A helium balloon floating inside the train station at Ben Gurion Airport caused an explosion of cables, leading to disruptions. Passengers reported hearing blasts and were quickly moved from the platform to the passenger hall. Platform 2 was temporarily closed to traffic as a result. Israel Railways described the incident as a "malfunction currently being addressed" and warned that train services to Ben Gurion Airport, Jerusalem, and Modiin might experience delays. A senior official from Israel Railways told ynet, "Every time, only a clear miracle prevents a deadly disaster. But everyone knows that even clear miracles will end one day."
