7-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured After Being Trapped Under Bus in Bnei Brak

A 7-year-old boy was seriously injured on Sunday afternoon in Bnei Brak after being caught under a passing bus while riding his bicycle. The accident occurred around 1:30 PM at the busy intersection of Ezra and Rabbi Kahaneman streets, a major traffic artery in the ultra-Orthodox city known for heavy pedestrian and vehicle flow.

Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived quickly and performed a dramatic rescue operation to free the boy from beneath the bus. He suffered severe multi-system trauma, including serious injuries to his abdomen, limbs, and head. After being carefully extracted, he was rushed in critical condition to the trauma unit at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, with medical staff stabilizing him en route.

Paramedics Yishai Zitron and Yehuda Nordman described the scene as complex and urgent, noting the boy was unconscious and trapped under the heavy vehicle upon their arrival. Additional first responders from United Hatzalah provided initial care, emphasizing the importance of rapid medical intervention for his stabilization.

The accident caused the closure of Ezra Street to traffic to allow safe emergency operations. Police and traffic investigators are currently examining the circumstances of the crash, collecting eyewitness testimonies, and reviewing the bus's route and actions at the time of the incident.
