7-Year-Old Boy Trapped Under Bus in Bnei Brak Rescued in Critical Condition
A severe traffic accident occurred on Sunday in Bnei Brak when a 7-year-old boy riding a bicycle was hit by a bus on Ezra Street near the Rabbi Kahaneman junction. The child became trapped underneath the bus. Emergency teams from Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah, and Hatzalah arrived at the scene and provided medical treatment after rescuing the boy from beneath the vehicle.
Magen David Adom reported that the boy was unconscious and suffered serious injuries to his abdomen and limbs. He was urgently transported to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, where his condition is described as severe. Paramedics Ishay Zitron and Yehuda Nordman recounted arriving to find the boy trapped and unconscious, with critical injuries, and working with other medical personnel to free and stabilize him before rapid evacuation to the trauma room.
United Hatzalah responders Akiva Kaufman, Israel Salav, and Nachman Aharoni confirmed the boy was struck while riding and trapped under the bus. They administered on-site medical care and accompanied him to the hospital, noting injuries to his head and limbs and emphasizing the seriousness of his condition.
The incident highlights the dangers faced by young cyclists in urban traffic and the rapid response efforts of Israeli emergency medical services in critical accidents.
