Defense Minister Katz Orders Strong IDF Response to Gaza Balloon and Drone Launches

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to take strong action against the launching of balloons, kites, and drones from Gaza toward Israeli communities near the border. Katz emphasized the need to employ all necessary measures to prevent these attacks, including targeting Hamas leaders responsible for organizing and carrying out the launches. The directive also includes evacuating neighborhoods and areas from which the launches occur and dismantling the terror infrastructure in Gaza. Katz stated that every launch is considered a military act and that anyone involved in organizing, launching, or enabling these attacks will be dealt with immediately and severely. The IDF has been ordered to act promptly and forcefully against any such incidents affecting the western Negev region.
