Jewish Woman Removed From Warsaw Taxi Over Star of David Amid Antisemitic Incident

Ludmila Kolomanski reported an antisemitic incident in Warsaw where a taxi driver forcibly removed her after noticing the Star of David necklace she wore. The ride began calmly, but tensions escalated when the driver asked if she was Jewish, then shouted "Allahu Akbar," pulled out a Quran, and accused her of murder. He threatened to eject her from the taxi, causing Kolomanski initial fear followed by anger. Despite the threats, the driver ultimately drove her to her hotel.

Kolomanski shared the incident on social media, prompting the Warsaw Jewish community to contact her and engage relevant authorities. The taxi company also informed her that she would no longer be assigned to that driver. Kolomanski stated she had never experienced such hostility in Poland before and hopes this was an isolated event not representative of the wider public.
