Jewish Woman Expelled From Polish Taxi After Driver Sees Star of David Necklace

During a routine taxi ride in Warsaw, Poland, Ljudmila Kolomanski experienced a sudden and distressing incident after the driver noticed her Star of David necklace. Initially, the trip was calm and polite, with conversation between Kolomanski and the driver. However, upon seeing the necklace, the driver began shouting at her, accusing her of murder and threatening to force her out of the vehicle. Kolomanski recounted the terrifying moments in an interview with "Morning News," explaining that the driver became angry, pulled out a Quran, and shouted "Allahu Akbar." Despite initial fear, she chose to film the encounter, stating that standing firm and openly identifying as Jewish was important to her. The driver ultimately dropped her off at her hotel. Kolomanski shared the video on Facebook, prompting the Warsaw Jewish community to reach out and take action to ensure the incident is addressed. She also contacted the taxi company, which assured her the driver would no longer be assigned rides. Reflecting on past experiences, Kolomanski noted that while she had faced similar incidents in childhood, such occurrences are rare in Poland, where locals generally oppose such behavior.
