26-Year-Old Liel Ifergan Suspected of Killing 7-Year-Old Hillel Mordechai Dadon in Beit Shemesh

The investigation into the murder of 7-year-old Hillel Mordechai Dadon and the stabbing of his 4-year-old cousin in Beit Shemesh continues under the Jerusalem District Police. New details reveal that the suspect, 26-year-old Liel Ifergan from Beit Shemesh, arrived at the apartment where the children were hours before the attack, left, and then returned. Police suspect that after a brief conversation with the apartment owner, Ifergan left and later came back, where he stabbed the children with a sharp object while they were playing in the yard's pool. Hillel Mordechai Dadon was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 4-year-old was seriously injured and hospitalized. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is currently under investigation by the Jerusalem District Police. His detention has been extended by four days at the police's request. Deputy Head of the Jerusalem District Investigation Unit, Chief Inspector Guy Avrahami, described the scene as very difficult and emphasized the ongoing efforts to understand the suspect's motive and bring him to justice.
