Israeli Police Uncover Large Weapons Cache Near Rameh in Northern Israel

Israeli police forces from the Northern District's Yasam unit discovered a significant cache of illegal weapons hidden among rocks near the village of Rameh in the Galilee. Using metal detectors and advanced technology during a nighttime operation, officers found six grenade launcher rounds, numerous Kalashnikov and M16 magazines, and a large quantity of ammunition. The weapons were believed to have been concealed for use in criminal activities in the area.

This operation is part of an ongoing police campaign to locate and confiscate illegal arms and prevent violent crime in northern Israel. Since the beginning of the year, over 590 lethal weapons have been seized in the Northern District, with armed suspects frequently arrested during these efforts. The police emphasized their commitment to continuing these operations to protect public safety and ensure that offenders face legal consequences.
