Maccabi Bnei Reineh Goalkeeper Lior Glicklich Set to Join Austria's Wolfsberger AC
Lior Glicklich, the goalkeeper for Maccabi Bnei Reineh, is scheduled to fly to Austria on Friday to finalize his transfer to Wolfsberger AC. Holding an Austrian passport, the 23-year-old will serve as the second-choice goalkeeper for the Austrian club, marking his first move abroad. To fill the vacancy at Maccabi Bnei Reineh, which recently dropped to the National League, goalkeeper Roy Sasson is set to join as the starting keeper. Sasson, previously loaned from Beitar Jerusalem to Hapoel Petah Tikva, received approval from Omri Peretz to take on the new role. Consequently, Amit Mashiah will become the backup goalkeeper for coach Omer Katz's team. Glicklich developed through Hapoel Tel Aviv's youth system and had loan spells at Hapoel Rishon LeZion and Hapoel Petah Tikva before signing with Maccabi Bnei Reineh last summer.
