24-Year-Old Woman Dies in Deadly Apartment Fire in Holon

A fatal fire broke out early Tuesday morning in an apartment on Orguim Street in Holon, resulting in the death of 24-year-old local resident Shir'el Israeli. The fire began shortly after 6:00 a.m., prompting emergency calls to Magen David Adom and the Fire and Rescue Services. Six firefighting and rescue teams responded to the scene, where smoke and flames had already spread through the building.

During the search and rescue operation, firefighters found Israeli unconscious on a bed inside the apartment. She was evacuated and handed over to paramedics but was declared dead at the scene due to smoke inhalation and burns. Paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Vixlavbaum described encountering heavy smoke and flames and finding Israeli without pulse or breathing.

Following the incident, Dan District Fire and Rescue Commander, Commissioner Oren Shishitzki, ordered a special investigation team to examine the fire's circumstances. A fire investigator also arrived to determine the fire's origin and development. Emergency medical teams remained on site to support firefighting efforts and provide medical assistance if needed.
