Woman Dies in Early Morning Fire in Holon Residential Area

A fire broke out on Tuesday morning on HaOrgim Street in Holon, resulting in the death of a woman in her 40s. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene to find the woman unconscious, without pulse or breathing, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation. Despite medical efforts, her death was pronounced at the site. Paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Wikslebaum described the scene as filled with heavy smoke and flames, noting that firefighters rescued the woman during their extinguishing efforts. Additional MDA teams were present to support firefighting operations and provide medical assistance if needed.

This incident follows a recent underground parking lot fire at a construction site for the future BIG shopping complex in Petah Tikva, where firefighters battled a blaze involving stored plastic and pipes. The firefighting efforts at that site lasted several hours, focusing on locating the fire source and ventilating the parking area. The Holon fire is currently under investigation by the Israel Fire and Rescue Services to determine its cause and prevent future occurrences.
