Woman Dies in Early Morning Fire in Holon Building
A tragic fire broke out early Tuesday morning in a building on HaOrgim Street in Holon, resulting in the death of a woman in her 40s. The fire started at 6:09 a.m., prompting emergency calls to Magen David Adom's 101 hotline in the Ayalon area. Firefighters and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, confronting heavy smoke and flames.
Firefighters conducted extensive searches inside the burning building to ensure no other individuals were trapped. They managed to rescue the unconscious woman, who was suffering from severe burns and smoke inhalation, and handed her over to paramedics waiting outside. Paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Wikslebaum reported that she was unresponsive, without pulse or breathing, and despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Approximately six firefighting and rescue teams worked simultaneously to contain the fire, extinguish the flames, and secure the area. Following the incident, a fire investigator was called to examine the cause and circumstances of the blaze. The investigation aims to determine the fire's origin and the factors leading to this fatal event.
