Health and Environment Ministries Warn of Pollution in Northern Israel Streams
The Israeli Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environmental Protection reported abnormal water sampling results indicating pollution in several streams in northern Israel. Due to these findings, entering the following streams is potentially hazardous until stable and safe water quality results are confirmed: Banias near Kfar Szold Bridge; Hatzbani from the Roman Bridge to the confluence promenade (entry to the Jordan River); Jordan River from Yossef Bridge to Arik Bridge; as well as the Hexagon Pool, Gilabon, Zaki, Yehudi, Tzalmon at Haruv Pool, and Kziv at Ein Ziv and Ein Hardalit springs. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has not identified a known pollution source in these streams. Authorities are monitoring the situation and will update the public once water quality stabilizes.
