Six Men Injured in Explosive Device Blast Near Metula, Two in Serious Condition
Six foreign workers were injured Tuesday morning in an explosion involving a weapon-related item in an open agricultural area near Metula, northern Israel. Three men, approximately 40 years old, were airlifted by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa; two of them sustained serious injuries, while the third was moderately injured. The remaining three victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to Ziv Hospital in Safed.
Senior paramedic Moti Barel from Magen David Adom described the scene, stating that the injured were conscious but had bodily wounds. Initial triage and medical treatment, including bleeding control and medication administration, were provided on site. The evacuation was conducted in coordination with the IDF medical corps, using both helicopter and ambulance transport to hospitals while continuing medical care en route.
