IDF Prepares for Possible Multi-Day Lebanon Conflict Amid Hezbollah Tensions

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are preparing for the possibility of several days of combat in Lebanon amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah. This buildup follows recent Israeli military operations targeting Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Ali Taher and Beaufort mountain ridges. While some terror sites have been destroyed, others remain intact, and Israel insists on completing their elimination.

Hezbollah is reportedly concerned about the IDF's activities and is attempting to strike Israeli forces operating near the Lebanese border. This comes after a serious incident in which three IDF soldiers were wounded in the Ali Taher area. In response, the IDF launched extensive strikes overnight, described by Lebanese sources as a "belt of fire."

The IDF confirmed the killing of Abu Hassan Alaa, a senior Hezbollah commander in the Badr unit, near Deir Al-Zahrani. The operation was carried out in retaliation for Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli forces, including the use of explosive drones against troops in southern Lebanon.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized on social media that "no score in any arena will remain open," pledging strong protection for Israeli soldiers and civilians. Lebanese reports also noted continued Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, including the Ali Taher ridge, where an officer and two soldiers were injured the previous day.

This heightened military activity reflects the ongoing struggle over control of strategic terror sites along the Israel-Lebanon border and the broader conflict with Hezbollah.
