Northern Israeli Lawyer Arrested for Smashing Partner’s Car Windows with Hammer
A lawyer in his 40s from northern Israel was arrested last week after being caught on camera smashing the windows of his partner’s car with a hammer. The incident occurred on August 12, 2026, in the afternoon at a commercial center in Rosh Pina. Police received a report about a man breaking car windows with a hammer while a woman was inside the vehicle, who fled the scene during the attack.
Northern District police quickly arrived at the location and detained the suspect. The attack reportedly followed a heated argument between the couple minutes earlier. The suspect’s detention was extended until Sunday, with police planning to request another extension at the Nazareth Magistrate’s Court in Nof HaGalil.
The Israel Police stated they remain committed to acting decisively against anyone threatening public safety and will continue efforts to ensure security and hold offenders accountable.
