Northern Israeli Lawyer Arrested for Smashing Car Windows with Hammer

A lawyer in his 40s from northern Israel was arrested last week on suspicion of breaking car windows with a hammer while his partner was inside the vehicle. The incident occurred on August 12 around midday at a commercial center in Rosh Pina. Witnesses reported seeing the man smashing the car windows and the woman fleeing the vehicle during the event. Police from the Northern District quickly arrived and detained the suspect. Initial investigations revealed the act followed a verbal dispute between the couple minutes earlier. The suspect, described as a Haredi man, had traveled from Tiberias to Safed earlier that day and then disappeared until his arrest. His detention has been extended, and police plan to request another extension at the Nof HaGalil-Nazareth Magistrate's Court due to the severity of the incident.
