Prisoner of War Rom Breslavsky Urges National Security Minister Ben Gvir to Execute Terrorists

Rom Breslavsky, a former prisoner of war, personally appealed to Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to press the button to execute terrorists by hanging. This request aligns with the death penalty law for terrorists recently passed by the Otzma Yehudit party. During an interview on his personal podcast, Breslavsky looked Ben Gvir in the eyes and said, "Let me be the one to hang them. I don't want a rope; I want a button. With my own hands, I will execute every terrorist in Israel."

Ben Gvir responded affirmatively, promising to do everything possible to make this happen and calling it one of his greatest dreams to see Breslavsky carry out the executions. He clarified that the method of execution would be hanging, as stipulated by the law, and expressed strong support for the measure, stating, "They don't deserve to live, and you are right."

The minister also discussed changes in the conditions of security prisoners since he took office. He contrasted the current harsh conditions with previous lenient treatment, mentioning that prisoners used to enjoy luxuries such as marmalades, chocolates, television, ping-pong, and meat. Ben Gvir recounted stories of prisoners receiving cosmetic surgery or medical care after violent incidents. He concluded by saying that today the prisoners suffer and are treated harshly, which he believes is necessary to bring some form of justice and relief to victims like Breslavsky and others affected by terrorism.
