Israeli Police Seek 24-Year-Old Missing Near Sea of Galilee En Route to Safed
Israeli police are searching for 24-year-old Katriel Nachman Keinan from Beit Shemesh, who disappeared on August 10 near the Gai Beach area by the Sea of Galilee. Keinan was last seen around 6 p.m. while traveling to Safed, and contact with him was lost thereafter. He is described as approximately 1.74 meters tall, with black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he wore a white shirt, black suit, a hat, carried a black backpack, and a dark brown tefillin bag. He also wears eyeglasses and a yellow flag pin associated with the Messiah flag movement.
The police have urged the public to provide any information, no matter how minor, that could assist in locating him. They provided several contact numbers, including the national emergency line 100, Beit Shemesh police station, and dedicated missing persons hotlines. Keinan’s disappearance occurs in a sensitive area between Safed and Meron, previously dubbed the "Israeli Bermuda Triangle" due to multiple disappearances over the years. However, police have stated that no common link has been found among these cases, and the mountainous terrain, forests, and limited security cameras complicate search efforts.
