Anan Khalaily Joins Crystal Palace in Record 25 Million Euro Transfer

Israeli winger Anan Khalaily was officially presented as a new player for Crystal Palace on Saturday after signing a five-year contract with the Premier League club. The London-based team paid a record 25 million euros for Khalaily, making him the most expensive Israeli footballer ever. Khalaily expressed his excitement in a welcome video posted on Crystal Palace's X page, saying, "A new home, a new journey, a new dream. Now I get to experience it myself. I am ready - see you soon."

Speaking to the club's official website, Khalaily said, "I am happy to be here, excited, and can’t wait to start. I have always followed the Premier League and Crystal Palace. This is a new challenge for me, and I am very happy. I know Crystal Palace has won three trophies in 13 months, which is impressive, but for me, it’s not enough - I want to win more trophies. I am here to help the team." He described himself as hardworking, strong, fast, and capable both offensively and defensively, adding that he admires Mohamed Salah as a Premier League player.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish welcomed Khalaily, stating, "We are excited to announce this signing and thrilled that Khalaily chose to continue his career journey with Crystal Palace. We look forward to welcoming him at the home stadium." Khalaily will wear the number 25 jersey and start with an initial salary of about 1.5 million pounds per season, excluding bonuses, with annual increases. The club will compete in the Europa League this season after winning the Conference League last season.

Additionally, Colombian national team defender Daniel Munoz is expected to leave Crystal Palace, likely to Chelsea, which positions Khalaily as a likely starter in the lineup.
