Crystal Palace Continues Producing Top Talent as Israeli Anan Halaily Joins Club

Israeli defender Anan Halaily has officially transferred to Crystal Palace, a club renowned in recent years for developing young talents who later become prominent figures in European football. Halaily aims to follow this tradition and make his breakthrough in the English Premier League.

Several notable players have emerged from Crystal Palace in recent seasons. Michael Olise, who joined from Reading in 2021, quickly became one of the Premier League's most promising talents. In summer 2024, Bayern Munich acquired Olise for around 60 million euros including bonuses. He has since established himself as a key player for France, with a current market value estimated at 170 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Another standout is English midfielder Eberechi Eze, who arrived from Queens Park Rangers in 2020. Over five seasons, Eze became a leader and star at Palace, earning England national team call-ups and playing in Euro 2024. He scored the decisive goal in Palace's historic cup victory and transferred to Arsenal in summer 2025 for approximately 70 million euros after tallying 40 goals and 29 assists in 150 appearances.

English defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka also rose through Palace's academy and debuted in 2018. After two seasons, he moved to Manchester United for about 50 million euros. French center-back Maxence Lacroix joined Palace in 2024, contributed significantly to their cup and Conference League wins, and was sold to Chelsea this summer for 60 million euros after just two years.

Captain Marc Guehi represents a slightly different case. Despite establishing himself as a top Premier League defender and England international, Palace sold him to Manchester City in January 2026 for only 25 million euros, a figure below his sporting value due to his contract nearing expiration and the possibility of leaving on a free transfer at season's end.

Halaily now hopes to continue this legacy of talent development at Crystal Palace and make a significant impact in English football.
