Crystal Palace Continues Talent Pipeline with Israeli Defender Anan Halaily Joining Club

Israeli defender Anan Halaily has officially transferred to Crystal Palace, a club renowned in recent years for developing young talents who later become prominent players in European football. Halaily aims to follow this tradition and make his breakthrough in the English Premier League.

Several notable players have emerged from Crystal Palace in recent seasons. Michael Olise, a French midfielder who joined from Reading in 2021, quickly became one of the Premier League's most promising talents. In summer 2024, Bayern Munich acquired him for around 60 million euros including bonuses. Olise has since established himself among Europe's elite and is a key player for the French national team, with a market value estimated at 170 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Another standout is English midfielder Eberechi Eze, who arrived from Queens Park Rangers in 2020. Over five seasons, he became a leader at Palace, earning England national team call-ups and playing in Euro 2024. Eze scored the decisive goal in Palace's historic cup final victory. In summer 2025, Arsenal signed him for approximately 70 million euros after he scored 40 goals and assisted 29 times in 150 appearances.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also a prominent product of Palace’s academy. He debuted for the senior team in 2018 and transferred to Manchester United two seasons later for about 50 million euros. Maxence Lacroix, a French defender who joined Palace in 2024, played a key role in their cup and Conference League triumphs before Chelsea purchased him for 60 million euros after just two seasons.

Mark Guehi, the English captain and one of the Premier League’s top defenders, is another notable player. With his contract nearing expiration, Palace agreed to sell him to Manchester City in January 2026 for only 25 million euros, a figure considered low due to his impending free agency.
