Israeli Women Missing in Vienna Likely Left Austria, Europol Joins Investigation

Austrian media reported on Friday that Mally and Liel Yahalomi, two Israeli women last seen a week ago in Vienna, were recorded leaving their apartment on their own. The apartment was later found without their personal belongings. Authorities now suspect the women may no longer be in Austria, prompting Europol, the European Union's law enforcement agency, to join the investigation. The last known mobile phone signals from Mally and Liel were detected on Saturday morning near a train station in Vienna, about two kilometers from their residence. Vienna police stated there is no suspicion of a criminal incident. However, the women's family strongly rejects the notion that they left voluntarily and demands that the possibility of a nationalist-related event not be dismissed, especially given the recent rise in antisemitism across Europe.
