Israeli Mother and Daughter Recorded Leaving Vienna Apartment Amid Ongoing Disappearance Investigation

Mali and Liel Yehalomi, an Israeli mother and daughter who have been missing for about a week, were recently captured on camera leaving their Vienna apartment with their personal belongings but without any other individuals. The family reported them missing on Tuesday after losing contact for several days. Authorities have since lifted initial concerns of nationalist or criminal motives but continue to investigate all possibilities under a gag order.

The search for the two has expanded beyond Austria to other European countries, with investigators uncertain about their whereabouts or reasons for disappearance. A senior police official involved in the case told media that the starting assumption is that both are alive, but many questions remain unanswered. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Vienna police and Israel's Lahav 433 economic crime unit.

Officials are exploring whether the disappearance was a planned escape by the mother and daughter or linked to criminal activity by a local Vienna gang.
