Israel Forecasts Cooler Temperatures and Light Rain in Northern Regions

Israel is expected to experience partly cloudy skies today with a slight drop in temperatures, returning to seasonal averages. Light drizzle or localized rain may occur in the northern areas and along the coastal plain during the morning. By afternoon, local rain is likely mainly in the northern mountains and eastern parts of the country, accompanied by relief from the recent heatwave.

Looking ahead, Saturday (August 15) will see partly cloudy to clear skies with a slight temperature increase. Localized rain is expected from the afternoon, primarily in northern and eastern regions, with isolated thunderstorms possible in the east. There is a risk of flash floods in the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area.

Sunday (August 16) will bring partly cloudy to clear conditions with a slight temperature decrease. Local rain may occur mainly in the northeast during the afternoon. Monday (August 17) will continue with partly cloudy to clear skies and a further slight temperature drop, bringing temperatures slightly below average and easing the heat burden.

Temperature ranges for key cities include Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Haifa at 26° to 30°C, Jerusalem at 20° to 30°C, Ashdod at 25° to 30°C, Beersheba at 23° to 35°C, Ashkelon at 26° to 30°C, Mitzpe Ramon at 20° to 31°C, and Afula at 23° to 34°C.
