Israel Faces Unseasonal August Rain and Thunderstorms with Flood Risks This Weekend

The police have announced preparations in affected areas, including deployment along key roads and highways, and have urged the public to avoid flood-prone locations. They warned against approaching areas at risk of flooding due to dangers such as falling, being swept away, or drowning, and recommended postponing non-essential travel and hikes near streams and flood zones. Authorities also emphasized the importance of not crossing flooded roads or water channels by any means of transport.

Sunday will see partly cloudy skies with temperatures normal for the season, with continued chances of local rain and thunderstorms in the east and mountains, alongside ongoing flood concerns. Monday is expected to bring a further slight temperature drop with relatively comfortable conditions, and Tuesday will feature partly cloudy to clear skies with similarly mild temperatures. The police will provide updates on road closures and traffic disruptions caused by the weather.
